Band of Parents |
Everyone has a defining moment in life. A moment
when you know, without any question, just what life is about. For the Band of
Parents that defining moment was hearing the words that our children have a rare
and deadly form of cancer. Our lives now are about finding a cure for our
precious children who are battling
Neuroblastoma. Overall, cancer accounts for the greatest number of disease
deaths of children in the United States and kills more children per year than
cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, asthma and AIDS combined. But for the
greatest number of deaths among children, it receives less than three percent of
the National Cancer Institutes federal budget of $4.8 billion. The disparity of
funding between children's cancer and other diseases is reprehensible. Lack of
money bars the way, and time is running out for many of these kids. Today hope
lies with private institutions, generous donors, and dedicated researchers, who
have made it their mission to discover safer, more effective treatments and a
cure. We as the parents of children diagnosed with this relentless cancer are
reaching out in hopes that you will help us. Won’t you please support the
research so urgently needed to
give
all the kids fighting Neuroblastoma today, and those who will be so unfairly
chosen to fight tomorrow, the hope all children deserve? |

Children's Dream
Fund |
The Children's Dream Fund was founded in 1981 with
the single purpose of fulfilling dreams for children ages 3-18 who have been
diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
Referrals are received from seven hospitals on
Florida's west coast. Dreams vary greatly - from trips to Disney World, meetings
with celebrities, gifts such as computers and swimming pools and occasional
shopping sprees. Every child deserves hope and a dream!
The true impact of a child's dream cannot be
measured in dollars and cents. Our desire is to grant every eligible child's
dream. There are many children in our community with life-threatening illnesses,
and the Children's Dream Fund needs your help to reach them. |

Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation |
CNCF
— Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation — was founded from our
life's experience with a child with cancer.
We found that there was a need to address the many issues that childhood cancer
presents to the family, the child, the doctors and nurses, the community and the
country.
As a family, we struggled to make each day count and be filled with as much
sunshine as possible.
"The Struggle" symbolizes our mission, our dream and our goal.
To be aware is to have knowledge and that is the first step in making a dream
come true.
The next step is to use that knowledge as a tool in supporting the needs of the
children and their families and provide funding to the medical community for new
and advanced research studies.
As an organization, we will fulfill that responsibility through education,
support, advocacy, and research.
Help us in "The Struggle" against childhood cancer.

Giving Hope
Through Faith |
Giving Hope Through Faith
Foundation exists to spread the love that comes from knowing Jesus Christ. The
idea for the Foundation grew from the lessons sent from God through a journey
traveled by one little eight-year-old boy, Zach Tucker. It became clear to many,
God had a much bigger purpose for Zach's life. He was sent to us to open our
eyes to the promise of eternal life and that no matter what the circumstances,
God was always present. |

Lunch for Life is about children. Our children have
been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a particularly deadly form of cancer that
strikes thousands of precious young children each year. To make matters
worse, research funds have been traditionally scarce for pediatric cancers like
this one, which makes finding a cure next to impossible. Until now.. The goal of
is for supporters to donate the cost of a day's lunch on a regular basis to the
organization which donates all the funds to help find a cure for Neuroblastoma. |

through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the
life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children,
families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980

police officer. Since its humble beginnings, the organization has blossomed into
a worldwide phenomenon, reaching more than 144,000 children around the world.

The Keep Hope Foundation |
We are young people who
have hearts for helping and healing. We are helping to spread hope and
awareness to children and teens who are fighting life threatening
illnesses. From all over the USA we are coming together to fight to
bring to light serious illnesses and diseases kids just like us are
fighting everyday. The Keep Hope Forever Foundation was set up in honor
of brave Mackenzie J who is fighting Leukemia. You can visit her page
here.
Each day warriors across
this world are fighting to survive, to breathe, and to live. Our mission
is to help spread awareness and hope to children and teens who are
fighting an illness and to those who want to know more, and want to
help. After going through treatments, surgeries, radiations, doctors
visits, ER trips, isolation, bad news, and tears there is somehow still
hope within all of these young people. Our mission is to share that with
our generation and show them that just because of an illness, it does
not any child different from the next. We are here to share stories,
spread awareness, and most of all hope to the children who are currently
fighting. We are here to let them know that kids do care, and we are
here every step of the journey. We are warriors, survivors, siblings,
and friends coming together to spread hope.

The Ronald McDonald
House |
A strong mind. A
strong body. And a safe, supportive place to grow. These are things that every
child needs - and deserves.
Helping to provide these things is what we do.
By creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health
and well-being of children, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is working to
better the lives of children and their families around the world.
The three core programs of RMHC - the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald
Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile - are focused on helping families in
need. Our cornerstone Ronald McDonald House program began in 1974 based on a
simple idea: Provide a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill
children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that time, more than 10
million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a
Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room program extends the comfort of a Ronald McDonald
House to a hospital setting. Typically located just steps from neonatal or
pediatric intensive care units, the Family Room provides a place to escape the
stress and tension of the hospital.
Through relationships with local health care providers, the Ronald McDonald Care
Mobile program brings cost-effective medical, dental and health education
services directly to underserved children in both rural and urban areas around
the world.
In addition to supporting the core programs, RMHC and our global network of
local Chapters in 49 countries have awarded more than $440 million dollars in
grants and program services worldwide to make an immediate, positive impact on
as many children as possible. Together with support from hundreds of thousands
of passionate and caring volunteers, donors and RMHC staff, we've had plenty of
success. |

St, Judes Children's
Research Hospital |
St. Jude is unlike any other
pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries
made here have completely changed how the world treats children
with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
We are where some of today's most
gifted researchers are able to do more science, more quickly.
Where doctors across the world send their toughest cases and
most vulnerable patients. Where no one pays for treatment beyond
what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are
never asked to pay. We've built America's 3rd-largest
health-care charity, with a model that keeps the costs down and
the funds flowing, so the science never stops.
